Home minister Mr Shivraj Patil was today under intense pressure to quit his post coming under attack from within the UPA coalition and the Opposition amidst growing concern within the Congress party itself over his handling of internal security. The all-round attack on Patil in the wake of serial blasts in Delhi on Saturday that claimed 24 lives came as Congress president Mrs Sonia Gandhi called a meeting of senior leaders to discuss the internal security situation in which Mr Patil was significantly not present. – The Statesman, 15 September 2008.

Hi,
I think Mr Patil isn't serious to his job. And he has to give answer for blasts in Delhi on Saturday.

wow, very special, i like it.
im your favorite reader here!
i think you add more info about it.
Come on!!! Not again.. Whenever something drastic happens we all try to blame somebody!! This time it is the poor Patil.. What else can he do, He tried his best to look good in front of camera by changing is safari suites every 2 hours. You have to admit it.. for his age he was looking great...
On a serious note we all are responsible for these kind of events because there is also collective civil responsibility for such disasters. We are the one who allowed these weeds to grow between us. We planted them we sprinkled water on them and we gave them a good fertilizers.
The truth is we are not very different from them. It is just that they are on the other side of the river.
The weed is very much inside us as it is in them.
Excellent depiction. No other words for the cartoon.

Do you work for some publication as well? Just curious.
Vikram, I love your cartoons. Discovered your site recently. I'm happy to have seen yours after searching for Indian cartoonists. Myself a newbie in this. I cover gags on everything except politics. Please have a look at my cartoons: goozy dumps
Appreciate any kind of feedback you can give. I desperately need some to improvise myself :)
Thanks! D - I do a series for times of India Infotech called Techtoon & a few here n there for smaller publications / websites...
And Narsimha - Goozy Dumps is pretty good! Great sketches!
Shivraj Patil is our local Obama - the agent of 'change'. He 'redresses' every grievance. Check out http://www.rameshsrivats.net/2008/11/manmohan-calls-customer-service.html
